Adjudicators Remarks

(I)
Vibrant opening. Watch tuning on high G’s solo cornets

B quite good here, just a few moments.

Rhythm well defined.

Allargando – not quite together

Last note hard to tune and this wasn’t 100%

(II)
Fine stuff, let melody come through especially B and D.

Watch tuning before H

Some # voices detract, well played.

Successful moments

Finding just about really together!

(III)
Euph excellent, did you use 4th value for low D (bit #!)?

Warm, open sounds, lyrical sop is most impressive, Eb Bass too,

Little more mutes pp horn to balance the others (solo cornet/troms)

E different section but calmly and effectively played

Good to close

(IV)
Good sense of style, sop changes rhythm? Articulated semiquavers good – still clearer and more measured if possible.

Bar 47 bit scrappy.

C fine scales nicely audible.

Bar 66 start troms, softer then <.

Powerful dynamic ensemble playing to finish

Many thanks, enjoyable
