Adjudicators Remarks

Controlled opening – spacious sounds.
[A] lovely dynamic + balance for bass lead.
[C] cornet/trom fanfare stylish – good sound.
I can hear all the sounds.
[D] again the playing has space + time.
Just the right atmosphere.
[G] measured cornet semis.
[H] careful in ensemble – [J] effective quaver rhythm.
[K] nice [M] cornets lets the 6/8 rhythm flow [N] careful sop.
Lovely level of sound.
[O] fine balance for cornet/cornets.
Nice work from soprano.
[Q] horn lead nearly “Lost”.
[R] a nice change of mood – fine bass line.
[T] all goes well the rhythm is just right.
[Y] semis don’t get in the way of the melodic line.
[Z] measured cornet semis.
[Aa] clarity in ensemble.
[Bb] a really fine sound.
[Cc] lovely dynamic – precise horn playing [Dd] you capture the mood – nice bass semis to follow.
[Ff] this ending was so nicely shaped.
Excellent ending.

From the very first bar you captured the mood of this descriptive music. Excellent rhythm – secure ensemble – confident soloists.

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
