Adjudicators Remarks

Adjudicator: Barry Thompson

Prelude: A little un-tuneful to open – fine flugel – chord entries could be much smoother – quavers flow nicely from [A] – unison fine – ensemble well balanced @ [B] bass line fair at [C] Good Solo horn – flugel & sop also-

Jubilate: Fair to open – and flows to [H] fine horns @ [H] – good dynamics noted – cantabile nicely done – just a little un-tuneful pause before [O] – Confident cornet [Q] nicely done – fine bass before [R] – artistic cornets & trom – god ensemble before [T] – fine bass – good percussion. All is nice and clean from [AA] – a little overdone from 263 –

Much to admire on this performance.

Adjudicator: David Hurst

Secure to open – well done horn/sop. Bar 2/3 could be smoother – same at [A]
[B] The music flows and good attempt of dynamics. Good basses before [C] watch tuning at bar 6.
[D] begins with conviction – watch balance at [E]
[J] Cantabile works quite well.
[O] Good cornets but take care with the way you phrase the melody. [U] Well done percussion – fairly secure to [T]
[X] Some good sounds here and good work to the end.

Thank you
