Adjudicators Remarks
A very good start and balance is sound. I note good dynamic contrasts throughout this section.
" Brilliante " Not clear glock &Tubular Bells.
E effective playing,
4 before F Don't overcook the dynamics. F a bit loud hear.
Stringendo, cornet sound forced.
G cornet notes too detached for style. H music flows well, but some entries unrefined .
17 of H all detail is clear. I well done Sop!
6 of I well done solo cornet!
J Melody is well shaped and lends to a well controlled cresc into K
This is musical apart from bar 5, this is overcooked, nice pause.
L more melody, less on euph/bass. Cornet rhythm 20 of L+ is loose/unclear.
M Music is rhythmic
N control the big sounds. Didn't hear baritone / euph figure bar before O
Not rhythmically clear at P
10 from end triplets not together but a well controlled f is evident.
Very effective ending.
A good performance spoiled by points noted above, slips cost today. This is a good band and well directed but don't think I've heard you at your best, control big sounds at all times and ensure all detail is heard.
Thank you,
Steve Pritchard Jones.
